Blundstone Arena

The Tasmanian Government committed $6 million in funding to Cricket Tasmania as part of the 2021 State Election to support capital upgrades to Blundstone Arena.

The funding will support the installation of new sight screens, upgrades to entrance gates, members pavilion, gymnasium, increased technology including point-of-sale systems, sound systems, CCTV and replacement of seating.

The works will be undertaken over the next two years with completion in 2024 and will improve patron experience and safety at the venue as well as improving and modernising the user experience for sporting codes accessing the facility.

As Southern Tasmania's primary sporting facility, the upgrade will deliver benefits for sporting clubs and the broader community whilst also contributing to local economic outcomes.
