Northern Suburbs Community Recreation Hub (the Hub) Stage 3 Expansion

The Hub Stage 3 Expansion project budget of $18.9 million was approved through the Tasmanian Government Budget passed in November 2025. The project will deliver four additional indoor multipurpose courts with sprung timber floors suitable for basketball and netball at the rear of the Hub.

The expansion to the existing Hub, will add approximately 5,000 m² of floor area, bringing the Hub’s total indoor space to over 15,000 m² of usable area and a total of 11 indoor courts.

Construction of the Hub Stage 3 Expansion is expected to commence in the final quarter of 2026, subject to approval of a development application by the City of Launceston.
