MyState Bank Arena Redevelopment

The Tasmanian Government has invested $67 million to redevelop the MyState Bank Arena. The improved facility now hosts Tasmania’s National Basketball League team the, Tasmania JackJumpers and allows Tasmania to:

  • continue supporting local community events
  • host major concerts and live performances
  • become a premier venue for indoor sports and entertainment in the state.

The redevelopment has delivered a world-class venue with an enhanced experience for fans and audiences, including a range of seating options, improved sightlines to the centre court and stage, sky suites, as well as JumboTron digital screen and televised viewing.

MyState Bank Arena hosts concerts, conventions, exhibitions, dinners, trade shows, assemblies, sporting events, conferences, and weddings in the main arena and in the various function and meeting rooms, and outside under the new canopy.

MyState Bank Arena is the largest indoor multi-purpose venue in Tasmania, accommodating 5,500 fully seated, 4,300 for a basketball or netball game and 8,600 general admission. The redevelopment, which was completed in 2023, marks the first stage in transforming Wilkinsons Point into a world-class sports and entertainment precinct.
